ABOUT LIBRARY

The department of Library and Information Centre was established in the year 2013. Library has a vast collection of books, reference books, national and international journals, e-books, e-journals, dictionary and other resources. Nagarjuna Degree College Library subscribes journals, magazines and newspapers which include English and Kannada. I-Vidyalaya Resource Management software is used for Library services.

The motto of the Library is to provide services to students, faculties and research scholars of the institution through the development of important collections.

LIBRARY EVENTS AND RULES

Every year after the admission of the students we organize Library Orientation Programme for both UG and PG new students of our College.

In this programme we give them some information about NDC Library collections, services and e-resources and guide them how to use the resources in Library. And also create awareness to students about MOOCs course.

Staff Orientation Programme

We also organized a staff Orientation Programme for the teaching staff about the e-resources every year.

Library Rules and Regulations

Please adhere to the following guidelines to ensure a productive environment for everyone.

Library timings: 08:30 AM to 04:30 PM

All the students admitted to UG or PG program are eligible to become members of the Library.

Three books can be borrowed by a particular student according to 15 days duration. If the student crosses the due date, they have to pay 2 rupees per day per book.

Journals and reference books cannot be issued. Students should refer within the Library for their assignment and project work.

Thesis and Dissertation books are not issued to students.

Books borrowed should be returned in good condition. Any damage, tearing of pages, writing with pencil or pen, soiling, etc., noticed at the time of return will require the member to replace the book or pay the cost immediately.
